The member reserved ticket deadline has passed, however, and all ticket sales (excluding vehicle and RV passes and ice pogs) close on Friday, 4/15 at 12PM. Word on the street is that this is for everybody, no exceptions: no ticket, no entry!
You can also find all the event details via our Facebook event: https://fb.me/e/2XvcZ58yq — and don’t forget the website: https://floridaafterburn.com/

Cabins are all sold out, fam. We’re so happy this new program has generated so much interest! If you reserved one, remit payment by Friday, 4/15. Also, be sure to sign-up all participants staying in your cabin pre-event or at Greeters. No participants will be signed in to stay in a cabin if they are not on the list.
Volunteer Signup
You can still volunteer to sign up for a shift at PreHeat 2022. As you know, no burn can happen without volunteers, and we’re all about that. I myself am a volunteer, so be like Bob and sign up here: https://floridaafterburn.com/volunteering/
Leads are working hard and will be emailing everyone to confirm their shifts. You may also reach out anytime to the teams. Email addresses are on the website, too
Theme Camp RegistrationTheme Camp registration closes on Friday, 4/8. The website is being updated with this year’s placement map. Stand By.
Get your camp activities to me for the What, When, Where guide by Friday, 4/8. Email with the names of your camp builders for Thursday Worker Access Pass/Early Entry approval.
COVID-19 Policy
In order to burn safely, you will need either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 48 hours to attend PreHeat 2022. Since there are indoor spaces at this event, we thought it to be the most responsible thing we can do. So in the spirit of radical self-reliance, make sure you have one or the other by the time you get to the gate. Read the full policy and any updates on the homepage: https://floridaafterburn.com/
Art Grant Second Deadline Approaching
The deadline to apply for an art grant is 4/8. Have a last minute project in mind? Funds are still available.

Certified Lifeguards Still Needed
Certified lifeguards are needed to have the pool open at Camp La Llanada per our contract with the property, and trust us — you want it open. Two lifeguards are required at all times to open the pool. Unfortunately, the prior vendor has opted not to re-sign with our event due to the nature of it (mainly alcohol is available, and their lifeguards had to stay overnight due to drive distance/time to the property each day. The company felt there were too many liabilities). That’s where radical self-reliance comes in again fam, and we’re sensing a theme. Are you ready to bring your life-saving skills to the table?
The American Red Cross lifeguard certification (with First Aid/CPR/AED) is all that is required to meet the property’s certification requirements. Financial assistance may be available if you wish to be certified. If you are in the Tampa Bay Area, check out: https://parks.tampagov.net/web/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/search.html?SessionID=si&module=AR&keyword=Lifeguard
If you are currently certified or wish to certify to volunteer, please email both Event Planning at as well as Volunteers at .
Thanks for reading… and for making art, supporting art, and being a part of our community! Feel free to send me any updates.
