HEY, GUYS!
What do Susan Sarandon, Elon Musk, Alan Parsons, and Paris Hilton have
in common? They’ve all been to Burning Man. And as far as we know, none
of them have ever been to AfterBurn.
However, we DO have celebrity sightings at AfterBurn…read on for more details about them, and how you can find them this year.
How ’bout that?

AfterBurn celebrity sightings
From Bob
I once saw Susan Sarandon volunteering at Burning Man. I’ve never seen her at AfterBurn, but maybe she’ll show up this year, since we need volunteers. In the meantime, here are my most treasured celebrity-sightings:
Pokey the Parking Pirate
Pokey is a former 39th-place NASCAR driver who gave up the fast lane for AfterBurn’s 5 mph speed limit. As a Parking Pirate at AfterBurn, he has been known to park 12 cars in less than 3 minutes.
Gloria Glooster
Gloria’s claim to fame is that she once shook hands with Pee Wee Herman in a Columbus, Ohio department store. She swears that she has washed her hands since then! At AfterBurn, she can be found wearing a French Maid’s costume and stocking the potties with TP. If you ask her, she’ll show you Pee Wee’s autograph.
Dani Dirt Ranger
Dani is best known for his starring role in the 1987 Bollywood film Inaam Dus Hazaar. He says that volunteering as a middle-of-the-night AfterBurn Dirt Ranger is more satisfying than playing a hair-dye salesman who gets abducted and framed for murder.
Splishy Splashy
Splishy is an Senior Olympic athlete with dozens of medals on her wall. When she gets hungry, she peels off the foil and eats the chocolate inside. She volunteers as a pool guardian, helping the lifeguards and keeping the pool area clean and glass-free.

Do you want to be a celebrity, too? All you have to do is volunteer at AfterBurn! Take a couple of minutes right now to visit the SignupGenius site. Click on the pretty pictures, read the descriptions, and choose one or more shifts.
Tier 1 tickets are sold out! Tier 2 tickets now available.
Thank you to everyone who purchased their tickets early — we have sold out of the $105 Tier 1 tickets. Tier 2 tickets ($125) will be available until midnight Friday, Oct. 25. Vehicle passes are also still available at $10.
However, RV passes have sold out! If you arrive with an RV and no pass, we will have to turn you away, as the property has limited parking space. We welcome you to join us with your tent-camping equipment instead.
Get your AfterBurn Tickets from Brown Paper Tickets, or visit the floridaafterburn.com webpage for the link and more information.
Whoa there, cowboy! Don’t bring that amp without reading the sound policy
Our sound marshal says to remind you, all sound camps have to be registered! We’ve now posted the AfterBurn sound policy on the website, so read the whole thing if you are thinking of bringing amplified sound.
Whoa there, cowboy! Don’t bring your golf cart without reading the DMV policy
AfterBurn is a small, pedestrian event. Vehicles are not permitted unless they’re registered with our DMV. We’ve posted the DMV policy on the website, so read the whole thing if you are thinking of bringing a vehicle.
Two more days to register your theme camp
Theme camp registration closes at midnight on Wednesday, October 16. That gives you two days to figure out what kind of awesomeness you are bringing and submit the registration form!
On the Bucket List: RevJackAssholio’s Snackatorium and (new!) Kamikaze Bar

We’ve got two great Bucket List submissions to get you salivating:
